A solid maple wood version of our Original Untangle Brush. The signature Sheila Stotts Untangle Wood Large and Untangle Wood Small Brush has a solid maple wood handle that is comfortable to grasp while the tough yet gentle metal bristles are anything but when it comes to detangling hair and massaging the scalp. The small size is great for teaching children how to brush their own hair. With the smaller size the handle fits perfectly in their little hands. It is also just the right size for tossing in a purse or travel bag to brush on the go.

Wouldn't recommend for very fine, curly hair

I bought this together with my Removal brush so that I had one for travel. One of my favorite derm influencers swears by it for massaging their scalp and for detangling. It *is* well-made and elegant. However, I am only giving it two stars because the bristles do not have a rounded end, so they hurt when I touch my scalp with them. The bristles also tend to snag on my hair strands as they are not thin enough to be bendable. I do not think there is anything wrong with the brush, just that it isn't the right brush for my hair. Unfortunately, all the items on Sheila Stotts are final sale. I would have returned this if I had the option to.

Amazing

The only brush that doesn’t pull tug or ruin my extensions nor my natural hair. It brushes so smoothly and gets all the tangles and bumps out without damaging hair! I’ve been using this brush for years and just so obsessed

Not worth $$ wood flakes

So this brush has a drain hole implying it drains water … I only use it with fully wet hair because curly. I’ve had the brush for about a month and it is peeling and flaking like the wood finish is coming off. Really sad I paid almost $100 for a brush that is falling apart already.

I recommend ordering the plastic since the wooden one was not meant to be used how you will likely use it. Otherwise it works great… again wish I would have got plastic.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are sorry to hear about your brush. Our Untangle Wood brushes do not have a drainage hole and is not meant to be used with water or on wet hair. This is because wood expands when wet, 'stretching' out the protective layer and as it dries the wood shrinks back down leaving the protective layer loose and stretched out, making it possible for it to flake off.
We do recommend our classic Untangle brush that is made of plastic and has a drainage hole that can be used on wet hair and even in the shower!

Perfect brush!

The Untangle Brush is perfect for everyday use on my daughters long fine hair as well as my extensions. My natural hair is very fine and I have a lot of extensions on my head. I was recommended this brush and looked it up immediately only to gasp a little at the price, but it is well worth it! I was getting close to having a matted up mess on my extension lines, but this brush took care of it and my hair has felt great ever since! I will probably order the smaller one for my purse after Christmas!
