Longer hair needs a unique wider barrel as the Professional Quick Dry Oval Brush is 6" long allowing you to grab a broader section of hair at one time. These brushes having a 6” long bristle surface versus the normal 4” bristle surface are larger than a normal consumer size oval brush specifically to aid the professional in shorter blow dry times by allowing larger sections. Varying bristle lengths thread easily through hair, decreasing drying time and increasing overall styling capabilities. By gently stretching the hair while drying you can achieve maximum straightening and maximum volume.
Natural bristles are gentle to the cuticle while encouraging shine. The large oval diameter allows for bend or curl without breakage leaving the hair with a billowy effect. Anyone saying this brush doesn't grab hair, probably does not have fine hair. There is plenty of grab for me, and it is unique in that it smooths my hair without getting it tangled when I do the back on my own. With my frizzy, dry, fine, long hair, this brush is the only solution for me which does not break my hair during a blow-out, because I need a lot of straightening and smoothing, but my hair type can barely take it. The breakage from other brushes had me spending way too much time on my hair, drying it gently with a vented brush and then doing a second straightening process with a heated brush. This brush has been a huge time saver, because it is all I need. I can see why my colorist told me to buy it several times during our appointment. Can't live without it. I've had it for 6 years now, and its same as new.
Unfortunately, I wanted to love this brush, but I don’t. I got the large to aid in quick drying, but it’s so heavy compared to the other brush I had. It also didn’t leave my hair as smooth. I always use a pre-drying product so that was consistent while I was switching brushes. Wish I could return it and try something else.
I have not yet, until now, found a brush that works as efficient and doesn't damage my hair, until now. I am purchasing the medium size as I have the large, but I feel I could also use the medium at times. I am also purchasing three medium sizes and giving one to my sister, and one to my daughter. All of us have always been on the search for a great hair drying brush, and now I've found it! Need I say more?!! LOL
Too heavy, no grip on handle. Overpriced for what it is. Doesn’t allow for smooth experience.Oval brush is great tho.
