Longer hair needs a unique wider barrel as the Professional Quick Dry Oval Brush is 6" long allowing you to grab a broader section of hair at one time. These brushes having a 6” long bristle surface versus the normal 4” bristle surface are larger than a normal consumer size oval brush specifically to aid the professional in shorter blow dry times by allowing larger sections. Varying bristle lengths thread easily through hair, decreasing drying time and increasing overall styling capabilities. By gently stretching the hair while drying you can achieve maximum straightening and maximum volume.

I went on the search for an oval brush and was surprised by the lack of options. I fell in love with the volume I got from my volumizing blowdry brush and when I learned how to properly use a boar round brush I enjoyed the end result but missed the volume. Some of the other "oval" brushes were not true ovals and did not have enough height at the corner to give me the volume I was looking for. The oval shape also helps give me the flippy and bouncy look I desire. My ends are so smooth and hair very shiny from the bristles.
The set is amazing for people with layered hair because I use the smallest on my top section to get volume and deal with shortest layers and use the other two for the remaining layers. I have seen some people say on the other sets that the brushes made their hair "frizzy" and before I learned how to properly use boar brushes (which is different from ceramic, I would have said the same in the past), I highly recommend thos struggling with the final result to watch some youtube videos.
I have long thick curly hair and can tell a quality brush when I see one. The brush is light and sturdy, especially considering the length of the barrels. I love the long length of the barrels because I can take larger sections wich helps me complete the dry faster.
Overall an amazing addition, my only regret is not finding these or learning how to use a boar brush sooner.
